Henry Dasson is one of the most important furniture makers of the second half of 19th century. He is very famous for the high quality of his ormolu mounts with extraordinary mercurial gilding. He continues the tradition of excellence created by Charles-Guillaume Winckelsen from whom he purchased business when he died in 1870. Located at 106, rue Vieille-du-Temple, he specializes in the production of furniture and works of art inspired by Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI style.

He is very successful at the 1878 Paris Universal Exhibition where Louis Gonse congratulates him by saying : “Henry Dasson quickly created himself by the perfection of his works, a very high position to which applaud us warmly”. He participates to many other exhibitions earning awards (Grand Prix Artistique, Légion d’honneur) until the end of the company in 1894.
